Winnebago fortunes looking up

Winnebago Industries has seen a three percent increase in high end motorhome deliveries in the company’s fiscal fourth quarter which ended in August 2016.  Deliveries of towable campers jumped 58 percent and deliveries of mid-size models shot up 59 percent. For the quarter ending in August, Winnebago posted a profit of $13.1 up from $11.7 for the same period one year ago.

The trend seems to be continuing as at the beginning of October there are 50 percent more orders in hand.

Fiscal year 2016 revenues slightly decreased compared to Fiscal 2015, down from USD976.5 million to USD975.2 million. Net income for the company though was over USD4 million higher for the year to USD45.5 million, primarily due to lower raw material costs.
