Motorhome on its way to Euro 2016 gets stuck under bridge

Wales will be opening their Euro 2016 challenge in Bordeaux on 11 June against Slovenia and what better way to get there than by motorhome? It certainly worked for me for Euro 2012.  It would possibly also have worked for Reece Carter from Bridgend and some of his friends who rented an Eldis vehicle for the competion.  Unfortunately the journey was spoilt by a low bridge to the north of Le Mans.

Responsible in this case (and no doubt you also know of many such cases) was the sat nav giving directions.  Unfortunately car sat navs send you to places cars can go - not necessarily lorries and motorhomes.  In this case the lads must have forgotten what they were driving through lack of experience. Reece said that he realised too late what was about to happen.

It took forty minutes for the motorhome to become unstuck.

Congratulations ot the RAC for arranging a replacement motorhome!
