Man critically injured in fire
A fire in Katy Lake RV Resort, West Houston, Texas on 22 October 2016.has injured seven people, one very seriously.
When firefighters arrived, locals were attempting to extinguish the conflagration in the fifth wheel with water hoses in order to get to a gentleman who was trapped inside. Despite one rescuer getting to the man, he was unable to pull him out. Fortunately the fire fighters were able to rescue him.
The injured party was airlifted to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and had second- and third-degree burns to over two-thirds of his body and is in critical condition. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation during the rescue attempts and four others from other injuries.
Once the fire brigade arrived, the flames were quickly put out. The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation by the Harris County Fire Marshal.
