Jail for causing crash

Logan Kitzhaber, 19, the son of former Oregon governor John Kitzhaber, was sentenced to seven days in jail and five years probation for causing a crash which caused the destruction of his own vehicle and that of a motorhome passing in the other direction.

Kitzhaber pleaded guilty to assault and DUI.

The occupants of the motorhome, Stanley Lyckman, 67, and Martha Lyckman, 63, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were treated at a local hospital and later released.
