Grandmother killed by rolling RV

A 62 year old lady was killed after attempting to stop a motorhome and car rolling down a hill in Bega, New South Wales, Australia.  It would appear that the motorhome had been towing the car and was not yet uncoupled when the two vehicles started moving.  For some reason, she attempted to stop the car moving as well and was pinned between the two vehicles.

The grandmother was a grey nomad, travelling across Australia and had parked outside a house in order to visit family who at the time of the accident were taking groceries inside.

A four-year-old girl that was inside the motorhome at the time was uninjured.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious but police will keep the motorhome until a mechanical examination is carried out.
