German camping club gives safety award
The Deutsche Camping-Club (DCC), Germany's biggest trade association for caravan, motorcaravan, and camping tourists, has given its Safety Award 2015 to the Vivaldi caravan range at a ceremony held in Stuttgart on 16 January 2015.
The range has nine layouts for two to four persons and body lengths between 6.89 m and 8.61 m. It is equpped with electro-mechanical AL-KO Trailer Control System (ATC).
DCC president Andreas Jörn said 'The caravans of the Vivaldi range clearly demonstrate that camping is a modern and young form of holidaymaking where you don't have to miss anything.'
In 2013 Knaus Tabbert GmbH invested EUR6m in its plant at Sintal-Mottgers plant, among other things refining its 230 metre long production line which in turn has improved the safety of the vehicles produced there.
"We are really proud to receive this award. As a manufacturer of premium caravans we consider it our duty to particularly treat the subject of safety in road traffic with highest priority", comments Gerd Adamietzki, managing director of Knaus Tabbert GmbH, this coveted award. "Of course it also is equally important for us to offer driving safety for everyone which is why we decided to use ATC as standard equipment in all our Tabbert models, beginner-level as well as the full time camper."
