The driver of a motorhome which crashed into a house in Tillamook, Oregon is in critical condition in hospital.  One person in the house was injured after being pinned down but managed to walk away with minor injuries.  Other members of the family were upstairs watching a film.  They believed that an earthquake had occured when the vehicle hit the house.

The 1956 motorhome was driven by 41 year old Jerry Bahles.  He was flown to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland for emergency treatment.  He had been travelling southbound on U.S. 101 when his motorhome veered off the road and hit the house.

The reason for the motorhome leaving the road is still unknown.
