Costa Blanca town clamps down on campers

Municipal authorities in the Spanish town of Elche have passed a by law which will fine motorhome users EUR90 for leaving their vehicles on public roads overnight.  The town, located on the Costa Blanca, has popular spots with motorhomers including a scenic Marina where up to fifty such vehicles may be seen at any one time.  Complaints have also been reported of campers leaving waste.  Those that leave their vehicles parked in such a way that may hinder or be a danger to other road users can also be fined EUR90.
