Campers blamed for dirty beach
According to an article in the Daily Post, campers are being accused of emptying their toilet waste on the Blue Flag beach at Black Rocks Sands at Morfa Bychan, Wales. This could naturally lead to a ban on vehicles parking there overnight.
The newspaper quotes Emma Walters, a warden at a caravan park, as having said that there is a lot of human defecation waste and that things are getting worse. She said the mess left at the beach near Porthmadog has made it impossible to enjoy walking.
The paper also quotes local councillor Selwyn Griffiths who said that some people staying overnight had left a “disgusting” mess and that the public toilets had been left “clogged up and overflowing” because of emptying cassette toilets.
He has asked Gwynedd Council to consider a ban on overnight parking.
It would seem that sites have promoted the beach as being somewhere where wild campers can stay the night.
