Awards given for UK campsites

Eleven UK campsites were honoured in the AA Caravan and Camping Award, an annual event aimed to recognise the best of the best when it comes to the nation’s caravan and camping sites. Award winners are selected by the AA’s team of inspectors.

The winner of the AA Campsite of the Year for England and the overall winner for 2015 is Oakdown Touring and Holiday Park in Sidmouth, Devon.

Alistair Franks of Oakdown Touring and Holiday Park said, ‘We are all absolutely delighted with our latest award and to be named AA Campsite of the Year 2015 Winner for England & Overall. It’s great to receive recognition of the hard work that goes into the general running of the park, we are continually striving to better our park and offer high quality facilities. All of our staff work incredibly hard and we are very proud of what we do here at Oakdown. This award gives us the motivation and ambition to stay on top of the industry charts and endeavour to be the best.”
