Twenty five years of Auto Trail Owners Club

Every year the Auto-Trail Owners’ Club (ATOC) join together for a huge rally in celebration of welcoming new members, having the pleasure of viewing so many Auto-Trail vehicles in one place, and enjoying the company of other Auto-Trail owners. This year saw the ATOC’s 25th Anniversary (1993 – 2018), which is a huge milestone in the club’s history.

As this was such a special year for the Owners’ Club the rally took place at the Doncaster Race Course, just West of the Auto-Trail production factory located in Grimsby. With over 250 vehicles attending the rally, the ATOC needed a much larger ground than previous years. However, this didn’t stop the tradition of visiting the Auto-Trail factory for owners to experience where their beloved motorhome was produced.

The factory visit was a great success and included a variety of entertainment for the Owners’ Club to enjoy throughout their stay. We invited a number of our main suppliers to attend the event including representation from Sargents Electrical, Thetford, Dometic, Diamondbrite and Thule. They all brought their amazing products to showcase and gave useful technical advice about their products to the Auto-Trail owners.

With over 600 attendees, The London Pie and Mash Company Limited were fantastic in plating up traditional, British favourite pie and peas, for all of the Owners’ Club, Auto-Trail staff and family and friends who attended the event to enjoy.

The Auto-Trail staff brought their ideas together and did a great job in supplying entertainment for the Owners’ Club. We had a mixture of fun activities including mini golf, guess the name, a book stall, and the good old-classic game hoopla. The total money raised by the games and refreshments was a fantastic £1,647.82 which was donated to our 2018 chosen charity, BRACE Alzheimers.

Auto-Trail’s Managing Director, Dave Thomas as well as all Directors and Managers of Auto-Trail joined the Owners’ Club at the Doncaster Race Course for evening entertainment on the Saturday night. A charity raffle was organised where Owner’s had the chance to win over 25 top-quality prizes in aid of BRACE Alzheimers.

The winner of ‘the best 25th Anniversary themed vehicle’ was also announced - the lucky winner was the owner of a 2017 Delaware, and as you can see below, they went all out in dressing up their vehicle in silver and colourful decorations.

Overall, the ATOC’s 25th Anniversary Rally was a great success, and enjoyed by everyone who was involved and attended. We would like to take this time to thank ATOC Chairman, David Wort for organising the Rally and all Auto-Trail Owners for attending this year’s celebrations of the Clubs 25th ATOC Rally Anniversary.
