Rediscovering a childhood holiday in Devon

For a truly British holiday, complete with fish and chips, rolling hills, rich history and dodgy weather, you have to tick caravanning in Hillhead, Devon off the Great British Bucket List.

It may be tipping it down outside but cosied up on the sofa looking out on a sea view with a cuppa, the memories of my childhood camping holidays came flooding back.

As my own three-year-old begged to go to the playground and my wife cooked up a full English, the joy of a simple short break in our gorgeous British countryside made a lot of sense.
