Greetings from Zgorzelec

Zgorzelec in Polish, Goerlitz in German is a town split between the two countries divided by the river Nysa (Neisse) although there are no signs to indicate that one crosses an international border when doing so in the town.  This is one of my regular stops, I always take a break at Galeria Słowianska, a shopping centre in Poland where I buy cheaper fuel at hypermarket prices before going on into Germany and if travelling the other way, I also buy fuel because I probably need a fill up!  I note that others also use it for an overnight stop, not only for the fuel because of the shopping centre.  However, it seems that few are aware of the old town which one can see on the German side and the countryside and hills which are to the south of the town!
