EPS v XPS waterproofing

There are two types of insulation which are commonly used in motorhomes. In older models one can still find EPS (expanded polystyrene) although most newer models use XPS (extruded polystyrene) which has better insulation characteristics. But what about waterproofing? Which works the best? In this experiment, carried out at Caravan Salon 2017 in Dusseldorf, water is placed in a container with EPS on one side and XPS on the other. The experiment took seven minutes to complete so the film was sped up. The result is quite surprising for its speed!
