The campsite is located on a 25 hectare plot in the Alentejo region of Portugal. In the vicinity of Quinta Portugal there are several fortified medieval towns such as Castelo de Vide and Marvão, as well as many Roman ruins and picturesque lakes for swimming and fishing.
There is a small swimming pool on the quinta as well as a small lake where you can go to cool off. Besides nature, peace, and space, Pomarinho and the surroundings also offer plenty of opportunities for a culture or active holiday, which can include cycling, horseback riding, and walking.
The adjacent natural park Serra de São Mamede is 50 km long with a summit of 1025 metres above sea level. Next to a pristine nature, the park also has small wild animals and a colony of griffon vultures. Every year we spot more than 60 bird species in and around our quinta Portugal. In and around the rocky park you can make beautiful walks Portugal. There are more than 25 hiking trails set out over hills and small paths, through forests, past fields, and through medieval villages.
Since 2001 Quinta do Pomarinho is owned by Dutch owners. Dolf Janssen and Phine Verhoef, sold their house in the Netherlands in 1999 to fulfill their dream in Portugal.
Quinta Portugal is suitable for individual guests as well as groups such as families and other travelling parties. The nature characterizes itself by a diversity of flora and fauna and has its own specific characteristics every season.
