Around 800 metres outside the village of Campora San Giovanni, directly on the beach. Although the road was behind me, I could not hear the traffic because of the sea. On this day there is a stong breeze from the sea but a few hundred metres inland I could not feel it at all.
I thought that Campora San Giovanni looked like a nice place to spend a few days and I spent a few days there! It is a village on the Tyrrhenian Sea coast of Calabria, Italy, a part of Amantea for administrative purposes. The town is new and has wide modern streets, the only building of any age is a fourteenth century tower.
